In this embroidery workshop you will learn some of the many and varied embroidery stitches that make patterns – crossed stitches, detached stitches, woven wheels, whipped stitches ….. Use your favourite colours to produce a vibrant modern ‘sampler’.  Whether you are an absolute beginner or have been embroidering for years this workshop will give you the opportunity to explore pattern making in fabric and thread.

Biography
Barbara Walters is a freelance artist and lecturer. She has taught a range of Adult Education classes from ‘The I Can’t Draw Club’ to City and Guilds Design and Embroidery and Advanced Textiles.  She has been Chairman of both the East Surrey and the East Sussex Branches of the Embroiderers’ Guild. She is Vice Chairman of the Society of Eastbourne Artists and a member of the Landscape and Arts Network. Her work is in private collections in England and abroad.
